Replacing live sports was one of the most challenging things for cord-cutters to do at the beginning of the “no more cable” trend. Thankfully, networks that were once cable-only — such as FS1, FOX’s most prominent sports channel — are now available online. If losing FS1 is the reason you’re reluctant to cut the cord, you’ve come to the right place. This guide contains everything you need to know to watch FS1 without a cable or satellite subscription, plus tips for grabbing FS2 and FOX’s flagship network.

Here are a few of our favorite ways to stream FS1:

How to Watch FS1 Online Without Cable

You don’t need any complex plays to get FS1, only your star player: the skinny bundle, a cable-like streaming package that offers streaming network channels for less than the cable giants charge. Skinny bundles come in all shapes and sizes, but the fact that they stream via the internet and generally offer at least one subscription option that's slimmer than a typical cable package helps them offer lower prices than their legacy counterparts. Time to pick your star player below:

Can I Watch FS1 on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, or Chromecast?

You can watch FS1 on various platforms, including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, iOS, Android, and your web browser.

Most Popular Shows on FS1

FS1 is a live sports hub, but it also has several entertaining shows to watch. Here are some fan favorites:

  • “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed”
  • “The Herd With Colin Cowherd”
  • “The Carton Show”
  • “First Things First”
  • “NASCAR Race Hub”

More to Stream for FS1 and Sports Fans

ESPN is the giant of sports programming. If you enjoy FS1’s “Skip and Shannon: Undisputed,” then you should also watch the nightly sports highlight show “SportsCenter.” ESPN airs basketball, baseball, football, and hockey. Like FS1, ESPN has both live sports and commentary shows for sports enthusiasts.

There are also channels explicitly devoted to fans of one sport in particular. For instance, baseball fans may want to check out the MLB Network to fully immerse themselves in America’s pastime. It has news, highlights, analysis, and, of course, live games.

If football is more your thing, you have plenty of company. The NFL Network has all things football, and it’s also the only place you can watch some regular-season games.

Sling Orange + Sling Blue + Sports Extra is $50/month not $45. Sports Extra is $5/month for Sling Orange only but is $10/month for Blue or Orange + Blue. Different sports channels included in the $5 vs $10 extra packages.

I just added sling blue to get fs1 to watch certain games, and then I find out i can’t access those games– they are not available in my area. wish I had known that before I added it! When I unsubscribed (the same day), it will take a month to process (while it takes like 10 seconds to activate it). now now I am paying for nothing. just wanted to warn others.

  3. Shawn Caulder says:

Sling did away with FS1, FS2, BTN and other stations without replacement channels for the same price. Do not get sling if you want to watch sports.

They should at least mention if there is some way Or NOT to purchase only an FS1 stream.
The consumer is still NOT king.
I can’t believe everything has to be a PACKAGE!
I just want 6 mos of FS1 per year to watch NASCAR.
Sling is no longer any deal at $35+.
There seems no reason why another competitor can’t easily come along and do what Sling WAS doing at its Genesis…Streaming the 16 most popular cable networks for like $10/mo.
That’s all I ever wanted. But now Sling has inflated to add 50 additional channels I NEVER watch for a ridiculous $35.
Plus HALF the channels they’re charging for are FREE content on platforms like Pluto and Tubi.
Sling is destroying itself and gouging their customers!
We cancelled after the August price increase.

We also are NASCAR fans. Have ROKU, which we love, and want to add FS1 which apparently is available on ROKU. BUT we have to sit through a “trial period” (an hour of stuff we don’t give a hoot about) in order to find out how much FS1 is going to cost. Have you had any luck? One would think that a price would be readily available at least on either FS1 or ROKU’s website so the product could be sold.

Hey I just heard that Playstation VUE is closing shop on January 2020.

So what’s my alternative option? Per the wife we need ESPN, BTN, FS1 and BBC and the wild card is Halmark channel. Youtube has all but Hallmark , Fubu has all but NO ESPN
Philo has all but NO sports channels, but is the cheapest. I was thinking of going that route, but buying the ESPN app subscription and still be money ahead. Only issue is NO FS1 or BTN, so my question is, is there a way to get just the FS1 and BTN app or I’m locked into one of the other options? Or can one just get Hallmark as a stand alone app? or does that need a major provider?
    Many thanks

    1. Stephen Lovely says:

Hi Clark, thanks for reading! The Hallmark service Hallmark Movies Now is your best bet for standalone Hallmark Channel content. Standalone sports is a tougher thing to find, though. Depending on what sports you like most, you may be able to get by with free over-the-air TV, or you might want to turn to a skinny bundle that has ESPN and FS1. Hope that helps!

This sucks you cannot even watch public college football without paying for premium packages – what a scam when broadcast TV was taken over by hedge funds

fox and nbc struck a deal way back to broadcast nascar races but have put most on fs1 or nbcsn so you have to buy a streaming service to watch what a rip off for what these streaming services are charging you just as well stay with cabel no reason to cord cut the price for a nascar race is so high a family can’t afford it anymore and people on fixed incomes can’t afford cabel or streaming so I guess I’ll just start going to dirt races and to hell with nascar they don’t want me anyway. you know I wonder how much it cost to build a race track in la and then tear it back down and make field ready to play on again mabe they could lower ticket prices or put on a tv station that everybody could watch also hauling dirt into bristol sombodys getting rich somewhere

  7. Doktor Thomas says:

Streaming services that cost as much as cable are essentially worthless. It is laughable to see the prices for services like DirectTV. 🤣🤣🤣
There is no denying that most of what Hollywood makes is mindless rubbush.🤮🤮🤮 When free on the TV broadcast networks, it is passable, but no thinking person would pay for it. I simply want FS1 for one sport I like to watch. I will not buy an entire service to get it. Not today. Not ever.

  8. JOHN E MYERS says:

SO IS FS1 part of the ROKU or not?
